Insane weather!!!

Strange happenings afoot throughout the Midwest this week. 60 Degrees, no snow, oh yeah...and TORNADOES IN JANUARY!!!

Just in case you weren't paying attention, Kenosha County was nailed yesterday evening by tornadoes amid the unusually warm weather. This is the first time such an event has occured in Wisconsin since 1967. Having just seen "An Inconvenient Truth" last week, I have to admit that I am a tad freaked out.
Not to mention the sudden warming of the region in the last two days caused thick fog, leading to a 3 dozen car pile up outside of Madison.

From The Chicago Tribune:

Somewhat ironic when you think about it. The cars put out the carbon, the carbon warms the air, the snow melts, and mother nature takes her revenge.
I'm not the only one to notice this of course. You'll notice on TV an ad that Hummer is running exhalting hummer owners as some sort of potential savior of the human race against big bad mother nature. I don't know about you, but I'm not fooled. This is one epic spin job if I've ever seen one.
Well gotta go. Gonna check prices on a hybrid.
And to my driving friends out there- should the weather on the roads get nasty like that again, maybe the best thing to do would be to pull off and get yourself a Hotel Room.
