Brett Favre bid fairwell to us yesterday, ending his record breaking 17 year career, secure in history as one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of the NFL.

Well, It's been a while but here we go. In the face of record snow falls, low temperature and all around winter nastiness, Wisconsin Dells indoor resorts such as The Kalahari and Wilderness are seeing record business as midwesterners seek a sanctuary from this meteorological mysery we're experiencing. Cabin fever is driving folks in droves to indoor waterparks and steamy spa saunas. Once upon a time, the dells was a ghost town this time of year. And now it's packed! Will wonders never cease?! Let's hope not ;)

Well, our friends at the Chicago Tribune wrote a nice little article about Wisconsin Dells the other day.

You know, I was looking over Wisconsin Dells, thinking about the metamorphosis it has undergone in the last thirty years and it really is quite amazing. Not too long ago, even in the height of tourist season, one was forced to drive to Baraboo should they even need a pair of socks. The situation for even the most basic logistics of day to day life were practically non existent. Now there are three McDonalds, a Walmart(A HUGE one at that), Home Depot, year-round resorts like The Wilderness and the Kalahari, and even a Starbucks! Wisconsin Dells has really come a long way.

Strange happenings afoot throughout the Midwest this week. 60 Degrees, no snow, oh yeah...and TORNADOES IN JANUARY!!!
